I am just saying the more he "whitened" himself the more scorn he received from the blacks...Now it is "he was one of us"...
I thought Michael was trying to say we were all the same....
Gee I must have missed something....
Not fair...
im like stan kenny and kyle on that south park where jimmy and timmy join the "crips" and christopher reed eats fetuses to get strong.

You can still have him if you want; just let us keep Bill Clinton and Tiger Woods.
Meh, everyone who's American claims every American gold medalist at the Olympics, so I really don't mind them claiming Michael Jackson now and not then.
The threads about "many blacks," so I would assume that all of you would assume that "them" referred to these "many blacks" that I am unaware of, but apparently you are all aware of... so I assume you all to be correct in your assessment that there are indeed "many blacks" out there that think this way, thus, I have no problem with "them."
what a way to start the day
I guess you made an effort to poll every black person before you started your thread? I for one could care less about MJ, FF, BM, and any other celebrity that passes away. This is something that goes on all the time with every death of a famous person; Nixon, Princess Di, Elvis, Malcolm X, MLK, Rick James, James Brown, and the Lord Jesus Christ. We cruficy them when they are alive and embrace them when gone. anyway, why are you so concerned about this issue?
Go back and watch the BET Awards show and you will understand...
Before you know it, you'll be calling The Rev. Al Sharpton an "opportunist" or something.
You tell me it's the institution. Well, you know, you'd better free your mind instead.
